Their Dark Riders with Crossbows also has nice armor piercing missile damage which is really nice and kind of rare. They also have a nice variety of cav in general ranging from Light and very fast, to very heavy and slow. Their elite Dragon Princes are also real strong but super high tier.ĭark Elf cavalry isn't as good as High Elf cav in general, but they have some really interesting niche units like Doomfire Warlocks which are light cav with a bombard spell, and Scourgerunner Chariots which are hands down the best missile chariot in the game. Elyrian Reavers are ultra fast and light, Elyrian Reavers with Bows are probably the best all around skirmish cav in the game, and they have 3 kinds of chariots. High Elves don't have a huge variety of cavalry compared to the human factions but what they have is solid. Vampire Counts also have access to a bunch of light skirmish killers like Bats and Felhounds which just add to the mobility variety of the faction. Blood Knights are some of the best cavalry units in the game, as are Hex Wraiths, but even more basic cav like Black Knights are great for their price. Vampire Counts are probably the best all around melee cavalry faction after Bretonnia, they're arguably even equal to Bretonnia when you factor in Vampiric magic which can rez dead units. Kislev has ridiculously good War Sleds, powerful Bear Cav that can eat through anything large but are expensive, and their horse cav is fast with really high charge bonuses but are light and squishy compared to Empire and Bretonnian Cavalry. They have a lot of different kinds of skirmish cavalry from Pistoliers to War Wagons. Think we missed one?
